01. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Thirteen years, since July 2002.
02. What does your username mean?
It's a shortened nickname of Even, which itself is a nickname of my first two names. As Even is too easily misread, "evn" with an "h" from my surname makes for a pretty good and short username. It used to be "evnhnssn", but people had a harder time remembering that.
03. Describe yourself in three words.
Persevering, Resourceful and Playful.
04. Are you left or right handed?
Right.
05. What was your first deviation?
I recall having a CRT monitor back then, and being new to Photoshop, must have uploaded a horrendous not to mention off-colored deviation as my first. I found out much later my monitor was displaying most values too dark. By then it was easier to wipe my gallery and start fresh.
06. What is your favourite type of art to create?
At the moment it would be pencil drawings. I go to a local sketch jam weekly where I have spent time with quick, spontaneous sketches that bring a wonderful sense of self. Not to mention good company.
07. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I would master surreal realism, mostly because some of the most intriguing art I have experienced come from that genre. I would of course feel better being able to master mediums and develop my own art style.
08. What was your first favourite?
I actually do not recall. Though when I started favoriting things on deviantart, I am pretty certain the first one came with a few others from various people.
09. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
I tend to favorite ones I feel should find themselves on my wall.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
My all-time favorite tends to shift with the seasons. Lately it's been
algenpfleger's work which has wow'd me a lot.
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I would meet
Bytes. He is an old friend, and someone who I actually have yet to physically meet.
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I remember feeling largely helped by a few deviants and fellow peers in deviantart with practical knowledge and motivation. A lot of it was simply really good advice on how to make the most out of the experience, which I am really grateful for.
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
B Pencils, eraser, a leadholder, NOMAD art satchel and a WACOM tablet make for a very good start.
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
In the company of good people. At a sketch jam, preferably.
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I have had some pretty good ones when I frequented dAmn. I suppose that links with feeling closer to the community during those times and being able to help others out.
I don't know how to tag things with hashtags. I guess it works just fine if I include it in the post?
